5-time grammy-award winner and 16-time grammy-nominated pianist and composer, Billy Childs remains one of the most diversely prolific & acclaimed artists working in music today. Childs’ canon of original compositions and arrangements has garnered him the 2013 Doris Duke Performing Artist Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, a composer’s award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and two Chamber Music America grants. Childs has performed and recorded with Freddie Hubbard, J.J. Johnson, Joe Henderson, and Wynton Marsalis and has performed with such luminaries as Yo-Yo Ma, Chick Corea, The Kronos Quartet, Dave Holland, Ron Carter, and Chris Botti.
