World-renowned musician N. Ravikiran is the foremost master of the Chitravina, the world’s oldest slide instrument—a 21-stringed, fretless lute. Ravikiran is among the most significant modern contributors to Indian music and culture and is also known as the “Mozart of Indian music.”
Joining Ravikiran will be world-renowned saxophonist George Brooks has successfully bridged the worlds of Jazz and Indian Classical music, composing music acclaimed for its diversity and prolific nature. He has worked with many world-famous artists, including Zakir Hussain, Prasanna, and more.
Also taking the stage, Homayun Sakhi is a brilliant master Rubab player born in Afghanistan, who has collaborated with Kronos Quartet and many other masters. He is a virtuoso born into a musical lineage and endowed with a charismatic musical presence.
