Cocktail Concerts with Amina Scott Quartet

Oakland-reared, New Orleans-based bassist/composer Amina Scott is a stellar young musician, and Healdsburg Jazz’s 2025 Rising Star Artist in Residence, who’s rapidly making a name for herself on the national scene. Mentored by master bassists Rodney Jordan and Rufus Reid, she’s been touring with the Dee Dee Bridgewater-spearheaded project We Exist! as well as touring with Bridgewater’s big band, serving as arranger and bassist. With the release last year of her impressive debut album Where the Wild Seed Grows, Scott is carving out her own identity as a bandleader.
