Hysterical: Naomi Ekperigin

The New York Times named Harlem-born comedian Naomi Ekperigin’s half-hour special the best Netflix debut of 2021, and she has also appeared on 2 Dope Queens and Late Night With Seth Meyers. As a writer, her credits include 20 episodes of Comedy Central’s Broad City and Apple TV+’s Mythic Quest, where she also played fan favorite “Carol in HR.” Interview Magazine notes, “while it’s her observational style that’s gotten her laughs, it is Ekperigin’s awareness of comedy’s gendered and racial dynamics… that has secured her staying power.”
