From the East Bay, I*ko YaYa’s members are also longtime members of some other bay area favorite dance bands. The musicians got together in 2013 to play the Louisiana-influenced music that moves them, what they call Louisiana-flavored swamp ‘n roll, and, as Jim Scott reports, “That’s when the party started! Enjoy a full plate of their favorite New Orleans-flavored dance gumbo—blues and boogie, Cajun/Zydeco, R&B, Second Line, and even a lil’ Country—all delivered with a Mardi Gras vibe.
