Memphis native Kenneth Whalum, with a career spanning nearly two decades, transitioned from contemporary jazz success to become a singer, songwriter, and producer.
Remarkable achievements have marked Whalum’s journey. He earned global recognition while touring with Maxwell and, in 2010, released the acclaimed jazz album “To Those Who Believe.” His musical transformation led to collaborations with notable artists such as Jay-Z on “Roc Boys (And the Winner Is…)” and Mac Miller’s “Ladders.” Moreover, his poignant track “Might Not Be OK” featuring Big K.R.I.T. resonated deeply, addressing pressing societal issues.
