Featuring Nana Boateng

Nana Boateng (she/her) is a first generation Ghanaian-American poet, educator, and digital storytellercurrently residing in Oakland, CA. She utilizes writing and audio to examine memory, otherness, andmyths we tell ourselves. Nana is dedicated tocurating accessible spaces for people to connect, share,and archive their narratives digitally. Her writing has been published in Connotation Press, WVXU,NPR, Sierra Magazine, Toe Good Poetry, and Cliterature Journal.

Join us on Zoom for our monthly virtual Open Mic. Hosted by poet Nia McAllister, participate in an evening of spoken word, featuring amazing local, national, and international poets. All are welcome to either perform or just watch.
