SUMMARY:Sherri Shepherd: Make It Make Sense Tour
DESCRIPTION:Sherri Shepherd was born and raised in Chicago\, Illinois. Sherri started her stand-up career in 1990 while working in Beverly Hills as a legal secretary. In 1995\, she took the big plunge\, stepped out on faith\, and quit her secretarial job. 12 days later she booked her first series as a regular on WB’s Cleghorne. It lasted only a season; and since unemployment didn’t pay the bills but typing did\, Sherri had to go back to the law firm for the next three years. She is best-known for her role as Ramona on ABC’s Less Than Perfect. Not leaving her stand-up roots\, Sherri still performs regularly at the Comedy Store\, the Laugh Factory and the Improv. \nInfo & Tickets

SUMMARY:Duncan Sherwood Forbes - Weight of Air
DESCRIPTION:The Grand Gallery is excited to announce the opening of Duncan Sherwood-Forbes – Weight of Air. Forbes\, a multimedia artist based in Oakland specializes in figurative metalwork. His sculptures have been exhibited at galleries and fairs both nationally and internationally. His approach to wire is rooted in line drawing. “I use wire to divide air\, treating space itself as the primary medium.” This effect commands attention as the figures appear suspended in mid-thought. Negative space is just as relevant as the wire itself. \nInfo & Tickets

SUMMARY:Dazz Band
DESCRIPTION:In 2026\, The Dazz Band proudly celebrates 50 Years of Dazz: The Legacy Lives Loud! The story began in 1976\, when nine gifted musicians rehearsed relentlessly inside a Cleveland warehouse driven by discipline and belief. “It was like a nine-to-five job\, five days a week\,” recalled founder Bobby Harris. That commitment paid off\, leading the group\, then known as Kinsman Dazz\, to sign their first recording contract with 20th Century Records that same year. Led by saxophonist Bobby Harris\, the group released their first single\, Might as Well Forget About Loving You followed by their self-titled debut album\, Kinsman Dazz\, in 1977. This marked the first ot two Kinsman Dazz albums produced by Philip Bailey and Ralph Johnson of Earth\, Wind and Fire. The project captivated listeners with a musically rich sound\, defined by tight rhythms\, jazzy chord progressions\, expansive horn sections\, sophisticated arrangements\, and smooth vocal harmonies.

\nInfo & Tickets

SUMMARY:Amílcar
DESCRIPTION:Agricultural engineer Amílcar Cabral (1924–1973) dreamed of freedom for Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde in West Africa and set about making that liberation happen. In this impressionistic documentary\, the life of this remarkable revolutionary unfolds through letters Cabral wrote to his wives\, set to a soundtrack of slogans and dreams. Shot in 16mm\, the film tells a tale of love\, political idealism\, and betrayal as Cabral’s guerrilla war against Portuguese rule ultimately led to freedom he would not live to see. \nInfo & Tickets
