DESCRIPTION:Cimafunk welcomes the new year with his soulful blend of funk and hip-hop with rhythms from Cuba and across the Afro-Caribbean world. \nBorn Erik Alejandro Iglesias Rodríguez in Pinar del Río\, Cuba\, the vocalist developed a style he calls Afro-Cuban funk and has collaborated with Chucho Valdés\, Gonzalo Rubalcaba\, Stylo G and George Clinton. Joined by his band La Tribu\, he returns to SFJAZZ following his 2025 San Francisco Jazz Festival appearance. \nThe celebration also follows the Grammy nomination for Pa’ Tu Cuerpa.
