Combining floral finds from the San Francisco Botanical Garden and San Francisco Flower Mart with cultural wisdom from the speakers’ Southern roots\, this promises to be an event to remember. Teresa (Teri) J. Speight speaks locally and internationally on the African American floral experience\, shade gardening\, urban gardening\, Earth-friendly practices for gardeners\, and more. She is co-author of The Urban Garden: 101 Ways to Grow Food and Beauty in the City and runs the blog and podcast Cottage in the Court.
