Sundra Manning

Oakland-born organist and composer Sundra Manning has been a major force in Bay Area music for over three decades — winning a GRAMMY with R&B diva Lalah Hathaway, touring the world with MC Hammer at the height of his fame, and playing a critical role in the career of soul superstar Ledisi.
In an origin story common among organists, Manning spent her formative years performing in church, and was mentored by Bay Area organ luminary and Tony! Toni! Toné! music director Carl Wheeler and André Crouch organist Chuck Webb.
