Bay Area Youth Pan-African Dance Conference
October 13 @ 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM PDT
Join us for an unforgettable one-day conference in Oakland that aims to inspire and empower youth aged 8-18 through the transformative power of dance. Our mission is to celebrate and explore the diverse dance styles of the African Diaspora, including West African dance, Praise dance, Jazz, Afrobeats, Afro-Brazilian, and more. Led by experienced instructors passionate about preserving these rich cultural traditions, this event is a unique opportunity to ensure these dance forms continue to thrive for future generations.
The dances of the African Diaspora are not just movements—they are powerful expressions of resilience, spirit, and the enduring strength of our ancestors. Each step tells a story, connecting us to our heritage and celebrating the vibrant cultures from which these dances originate. By teaching a variety of dance styles, we are creating a space where young people of all skill levels can learn, grow, and honor their roots.
Whether your child is an experienced dancer or a complete beginner, this event welcomes all skill levels. It’s a chance to learn, have fun, and spark a passion for these invaluable traditions.
