10th Annual Black-Eyed Pea Festival

The Oakland Black-Eyed Pea Festival is a celebration of African and African American culture using a cherished foodway as its theme. This year’s line-up of traditional music includes Andre Thierry’s Accordion Magic, MJ’s Brass Boppers, Piwai, and the Oakland School of the Arts Jazz Band. Come eat black-eyed peas in a variety of ways plus festival fare, water ice and more. And SHOP! Handmade crafts, clothes and jewelry. Arts and crafts for kids and adults. Bring a lawn chair and come hang out all day!
