Shades of A Colored Girl: The Difference Between You & I

The stage becomes a battleground for Hanifa and Adana. Their sisterhood is tested when a light-skinned woman, often labeled “privileged” or “favored” stands face-to-face with a dark-skinned woman who has been stereotyped as “too strong” or “less desirable.” Their emotional clash is rooted in a history of privilege, pain and survival. Beneath assumptions and side eyes lies a shared experience of being judged, boxed in, and measured by the shade of their skin.
