Award winning actor Jamie Lee Curtis, Olympians Janet Evans and Carl Lewis, Grammy nominated group Mariachi Reyna de Los Ángeles and five other luminaries were inducted into the California Hall of Fame by Governor Gavin Newsom and First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom on March 19, 2026. The induction ceremony held at the California Museum was also attended by family members and representatives of the posthumous 18th class inducted in 2024.

​The California Hall of Fame is the California Museum’s signature program, supporting its mission of education, and includes on-site and online exhibitions inspiring visitors to make a mark on history. This year’s artifact exhibition is now on view and features special items on loan from the 19th class, including Arnold Schwarzenegger’s leather jacket from 1991’s “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” Janet Evan’s 1992 Olympic Opening Ceremony Uniform, a clapperboard from Jamie Lee Curtis’ 1983 hit “Trading Places,” Riane Eisler’s Nuclear Age Peace Leadership Award (an honor previously awarded to the Dalai Lama), and more.
