We begin with a small group accompanying Charlotte Trinh, a winner of this season’s Competition for Young Musicians and the harp soloist for Introduction and Allegro by Ravel. Steve Sanchez is a captivating performer and virtuoso clarinetist who will join us for Óscar Navarro’s second clarinet concerto, which is truly cinematic in its scope and jazzy in its sensibilities. Pioneering American composer Amy Beach transports us through musical imagery and folk song to her Gaelic roots. A dramatic finish to a beautiful season of music.
