Aneesa Strings
Bassist, vocalist, composer and storyteller Aneesa Strings brings a genre-spanning performance shaped by jazz, pop and R&B. A graduate of USC and Michigan State University, she works as a solo artist, music director, professor and composer, translating ideas into music through sound, rhythm and movement.
Strings has performed at major venues and festivals, including the Hollywood Bowl, Newport Jazz Festival and Montreal International Jazz Festival. Her work also highlights and encourages young women, Black artists and emerging creatives.
Performances: Friday, September 11 at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.
