Spyro Gyra
Contemporary jazz group Spyro Gyra celebrates more than 50 years of recording and touring. What began as an informal Buffalo jazz jam led by saxophonist Jay Beckenstein grew into an internationally recognized band with more than 30 albums and gold and platinum releases.
Across six continents and more than 10,000 concerts, Spyro Gyra has sustained a polished, melodic sound while continuing to evolve. The Yoshi’s engagement showcases the musicianship and catalog that have kept the group among jazz’s enduring live attractions.
