Dos Santos
Chicago quintet Dos Santos blends cumbia, psychedelic rock, jazz and traditional Mexican son jarocho into music that reaches across the Americas. Formed in 2013, the group draws on ancestral rhythms, barrio cumbias, psychedelic westerns and moonlit desert serenades.
The band’s forthcoming fourth album, produced by Grammy winner Beto Martinez, continues that wide-ranging musical vision. Dos Santos approaches its source traditions with a sound that is direct, contemporary and grounded in the cultural stories behind the music.
