Boney James and Lalah Hathaway
Saxophonist Boney James and vocalist Lalah Hathaway share the Blue Note Napa Summer Sessions stage for an evening spanning contemporary jazz, R&B and soul.
James enters his fourth decade of recording with A Simple Man, his 20th studio album. His career includes more than two billion U.S. on-demand streams, four million U.S. album equivalents, four Grammy nominations, four RIAA gold-certified records, a Soul Train Award and 20 No. 1 singles on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz chart.
Hathaway is a five-time Grammy winner whose eight solo albums are complemented by collaborations with artists including Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Robert Glasper, Esperanza Spalding and Anderson .Paak. Her recent work includes the Grammy-nominated VANTABLACK and VANTABLACK: Expansion Pack.
