Shane Sato Quintet
Drummer Shane Sato performs with Adam Grab on bass, Maggie Daniec on keys, Glen Turner II on saxophone, Sean Lee on guitar and Olivia Belda on vocals.
Sato is a Japanese-American multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer who grew up in Southern California. After starting on drums, he learned guitar, piano and trombone, developing his musical range through rock bands, wind ensembles and jazz groups.
His work as a Los Angeles session musician and collaborator, both on tour and in recording studios, helped develop his arranging skills and led him toward writing his own music. His recordings include the debut album Until We Meet Again and collaborations such as “Airwaves.” His music has appeared on Spotify playlists including Fresh Finds Jazz, Morning Rhythm and Jazzy Beats.
