Hardly Strictly Bluegrass
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass returns to Golden Gate Park for three days of free live music across Hellman Hollow, Lindley Meadow and Marx Meadow. The 2026 lineup reaches well beyond traditional bluegrass, bringing together Americana, roots, folk, country, rock and global sounds. Announced performers include Emmylou Harris, Mavis Staples, Los Lobos, My Morning Jacket, Robert Plant with Saving Grace and Suzi Dian, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Old Crow Medicine Show, Punch Brothers, Lukas Nelson, Molly Tuttle and many others. No ticket is required.
Attendees should expect a large outdoor gathering with varied terrain and limited nearby parking. Public transit, walking and biking are strongly encouraged, and the festival asks guests to respect the park and surrounding neighborhoods. Food, nonalcoholic beverages and artist merchandise are available onsite, along with free water-refill locations. The event also streams multiple stages through HSBTV for viewers away from the park.
