Black Film: Unscreened & Unstreamed, A Family Affair

Doug strives to uncover the stories of pioneering African Americans through extensive research & a warm and unique style of storytelling. Join us for a special screening of Uzikee: Washington, DC’s Ancestral Sculptor (90 min). A deeply personal film that explores the life & legacy of a master artist whose work blends African aesthetics with Afrofuturist vision. Uzikee is also Doug’s uncle and the reason Doug and his son drove across the country to capture this part of their family’s legacy.
