Caribbean American Heritage Day in The Park

Eleven Bay Area Caribbean Restaurants are coming together to honor individuals who have made a signifi cant impact in the Community. In the spirit of the islands this event will feature an awards presentation for honorees and Cocobreeze Youth Apprenticeship Program (with Commendations from the Oakland Mayors offi ce), live performances, music, dance, free tasting of Caribbean Food and drinks for the community, more information about the islands, culture, cuisine and their stories.
Bring a flag to represent your country! DJ’s representing the Caribbean diaspora will be spinning all your favorite Soca, Dancehall, Reggae, Latin and Afrobeat hits. Games and fun for the entire family! Bring blankets and chairs for the park. Come out and enjoy this Caribbean Day in the Bay! We will also announce the Winners of our Caribbean Culinary Excursion Contest. The grand prize will be One Month of Free Caribbean Food from the Participating Restaurants (One restaurant per day, up to $25).
