Countertenor Iestyn Davies and harpist Oliver Wass travel through four centuries of music from Europe and the Americas. Davies, a Grammy and Gramophone Award-winning Handel interpreter, brings vocal beauty and technical dexterity to music spanning Monteverdi, Cavalli, Purcell, Handel, Schubert, Poulenc, Amy Beach, Nico Muhly, and Anna Meredith. Wass, the first harpist to win the Guildhall Gold Medal, is both accompanist and soloist.

The wide-ranging program includes early Italian works by Trabaci, Monteverdi, and Frescobaldi; Purcell songs; Debussy’s “Clair de lune”; Poulenc’s Le Bestiaire; Schubert lieder; Beach’s “Ecstasy”; Muhly’s Traditional Songs; Britten’s Suite for Harp; and arias from Handel’s Partenope and Saul.
