Matt Schofield Trio
British-born, U.S.-based guitarist, singer and songwriter Matt Schofield brings his trio and a contemporary approach to the British blues tradition to Yoshi’s Oakland. More than 30 years into his performing career, Schofield is known for fluid, melodic playing, expressive vocals and improvisational range.
His honors include three British Blues Guitarist of the Year awards, British Blues Album of the Year and induction into the British Blues Awards Hall of Fame. His touring career has taken him to major clubs and festivals in nearly 30 countries.
