Nexus: SF/Bay Area Black Art Week

MoAD (Museum of the African Diaspora) is thrilled to announce the inaugural edition of Nexus: SF/Bay Area Black Art Week, an annual celebration that aims to illuminate the richness of the Black artist community in the SF/Bay Area. From October 1 to 6, 2024, this event will bring together institutions, galleries, creative spaces, and artists to showcase the richness of the Black artist community through special programming, exhibitions, and unique engagements.
As a leading institution dedicated to celebrating Black cultures, igniting challenging conversations, and inspiring learning through the global lens of the African Diaspora, MoAD recognizes the importance of providing a platform for Black artists to share their work, amplify their voices, cultivate community, and gain the recognition they deserve.
