The Apology: Documentary with Panel Discussion
September 17 @ 6:30 PM PDT
On January 8, 1963, officials in Alameda County began hearings to discuss the forced removal of the Residents of Russell City, an unincorporated area at the end of Winton Avenue in Hayward, CA. The City was comprised of predominantly Black and Latino residents. Soon after, authorities destroyed the entire community of 1400 homes with bulldozers and rezoned the 200 acres for industrial use. Join us as we examine our shared history and learn what has happened since.
