An evening of exploring the work of Black and mixed-race artists in Ireland and the Bay Area.
Join the Presidio Theatre for an evening of art, dance, music, film, and conversation exploring the work and experiences of Black and mixed-race artists and performers in Ireland and the Bay Area. Presented with Irish Culture Bay Area’s Irish Arts & Writers Festival.
The event’s program features a panel of presenters – Dr. Phil Mullen, Monjola, Maia Nunes, Chiamaka Enyi-Amadi, and Megan Lowe – who will share life experiences and showcase their work. Leon Diop, Dubliner and co-author of the award-winning book, Black & Irish: Legends, Trailblazers, and Everyday Heroes, will moderate the panel. The evening begins with an introduction by Consul General of Ireland, San Francisco, Micheál Smith.ee
Premium tickets include access to a 6:30 p.m. pre-show meet-and-greet reception, with hosted drinks and heavy appetizers.
