The Moth StorySLAM is an open-mic storytelling competition where anyone may put their name in the hat to tell a true, personal story in five minutes. Stories are performed live and without notes, making each show an unpredictable mix of comedy, confession and discovery.

For FRENEMIES, storytellers explore the razor-thin line between affection and rivalry: best friends who became competitors, siblings who never stopped keeping score, teammates who stole the spotlight and connections that are impossible to quit. The theme welcomes every complicated version of loving to hate—or hating to love. Come prepared to tell your story, or listen as the room uncovers just how tangled a relationship can become.
