On Sunday, September 21, W San Francisco hosted an official Sunday Brunch and Beats, an energetic festival weekend event in the hotel’s Living Room Bar, alongside Portola Festival. The pre-festival gathering drew more than 250 attendees of festival-goers, hotel guests, and San Francisco tastemakers for an afternoon that highlighted the city’s music and cultural scene.

The event featured intimate B2B sets from Portola artists KILIMANJARO and Swimming Paul, paired with curated brunch bites, a caviar bar by Imperia caviar, and craft cocktails by 400 Conejos. The lively atmosphere created a seamless bridge between the festival grounds and the heart of SoMa for the second consecutive year, continuing to establish W San Francisco as an iconic destination for pre-festival connection and celebration.

​Notable attendees included representatives from Empire Music, AEG, Goldenvoice, and The Recording Academy, reinforcing the event’s role as a gathering point for both the industry and the community.

Cornish emerges from Houston’s remarkable musical ecosystem, particularly the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, which has produced an extraordinary lineage of Blue Note artists including Jason Moran, Robert Glasper, and James Francies. 400 guests joined the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank on Saturday, September 13 at One Big Table, a culinary event featuring celebrated Bay Area chefs donating their talents to raise funds to support the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.

Guests enjoyed a chef-curated dinner, pre-dinner food sampling reception, a program featuring stories of the Food Bank, and an after-dinner dance party with additional food and open bar.

The event raised $900,000 to support the Food Bank’s mission to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin.
