Superflip: 30th Anniversary Film Screening

Join SOMA Pilipinas for a screening of SUPERFLIP, a monumental short film by Celine Parreñas Shimizu, Dean of UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, filmed in the summer of 1995.
The 30-minute film explores the life, love and labor of a Filipino immigrant couple and was shot in iconic SOMA locations such as the original Carmen’s Restaurant, Blanche’s Garden, Rigo’s Inner City/Home mural and 330 Ritch/Victory Hall.
