Haydn Creation

Haydn took about a year and a half to compose The Creation, the longest he had ever worked on any single composition. âI spent so much time on it because I expect it to last for a long time,â he explained. It was time well spent; Haydn translates the mystery of creation into the most human of terms, infusing it with grace, delight, wit, and humor. Donât miss this rare opportunity to hear it in full, performed in English by the illustrious British conductor Jane Glover and the San Francisco Symphony and Chorus.
