Keiko Matsui
Internationally acclaimed pianist, composer and humanitarian Keiko Matsui brings her signature blend of contemporary jazz, global rhythms and cinematic melodies to Yoshi’s Oakland. Her career spans more than three decades and includes collaborations with Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Bob James, Hugh Masekela, Lalah Hathaway, Randy Brecker, Kirk Whalum and other major artists.
Matsui’s music combines beauty, strength, energy, love and hope while connecting audiences across cultures. Her acclaimed recordings include Deep Blue, which topped Billboard’s contemporary jazz chart, along with The Road…, Journey to the Heart, Echo and Euphoria.
