Rumbo Tumba with El Pecado de Juana
Rumbo Tumba is the electroacoustic project of Argentine multi-instrumentalist Facundo Salgado, a craftsman of organic loops who builds entire pieces live from handcrafted South American instruments. Wooden flutes, strings and percussion become layered rhythms and melodies, carrying folk traditions into a contemporary sound touched by psychedelia and subtle electronics.
The result is an immersive performance that feels both earthy and futuristic, with each musical layer recorded, mixed and transformed in real time. Special guest El Pecado de Juana adds an Oakland-rooted current of cumbia and Latin dance music, giving the evening an expansive arc from intimate, nature-inspired soundscapes to rhythm-driven celebration.
