Bill Kirchen Band with Nina Gerber
Bill Kirchen returns to the Freight with the twang, swing and road-tested wit that have made him a cornerstone of American roots music. The former Commander Cody guitarist draws from country, rockabilly, blues and Western swing, pairing crisp Telecaster work with songs from across his career and material from his 2026 album, Cat Out of the Bag.
Kirchen is joined by his Austin-based band and special guest Nina Gerber, the acclaimed California guitarist known for her sensitive, inventive accompaniment and long association with Kate Wolf. Their meeting promises an evening built around musical conversation: supple guitar lines, sturdy grooves and songs that connect honky-tonk history to the living, evolving sound of Americana.
