Bedouine with Other Delights
Bedouine, the project of singer-songwriter Azniv Korkejian, brings the vivid family memories of Neon Summer Skin into a fuller, more playful musical world. Inspired by a final visit to her parents in Saudi Arabia, the album mourns the end of childhood through gentle folk-pop expanded with piano, brass, flute, strings, organ and touches of psychedelia, bossa nova and jazz.
Her intimate imagery and timeless melodies find a colorful counterpoint in Other Delights, a Los Angeles ensemble drawn to lounge records, 1960s European film scores, bubblegum psychedelia and Tropicália. Together, the artists make an evening of lush detail and emotional warmth—music that looks backward without nostalgia and turns private memory into something communal.
