The Moth StorySLAM: ANYTHING GOES
The Moth StorySLAM is an open-mic storytelling competition where anyone may put their name in the hat to tell a true, personal story in five minutes. Stories are performed live and without notes, creating an evening that can veer from hilarity to heartbreak with no one—including the tellers—knowing exactly what will happen.
For ANYTHING GOES, the usual theme is thrown out the window. Storytellers can finally share the tale that never fit another prompt: a deep cut, an archived memory, an untold family episode or the experience that has been waiting for a room. The blank page is wide open, and the only rule is that the story must be true and yours to tell.
