Cyrille Aimée Duo
French-Dominican vocalist Cyrille Aimée brings her agile phrasing, rhythmic imagination and warm stage presence to an intimate duo performance with pianist Mathis Picard. Her music draws from jazz, Caribbean traditions and the sound of the Roma musicians she encountered while growing up in France.
Aimée won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and the Montreux Jazz Festival’s vocal competition and was a finalist in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition. She has performed with Roy Hargrove and Wynton Marsalis and continues to expand her sound on the album à Fleur de Peau.
