Irving Flores Afro-Cuban Jazz Trio
Latin jazz pianist, arranger and composer Irving Flores is a virtuoso whose career spans more than four decades across international stages, celebrated for his vibrant technique and his brilliant fusion of traditional jazz with complex Afro-Cuban rhythms.
Originally from Veracruz, Mexico and now based in San Diego, Flores has shared stages and collaborated with a pantheon of music legends, among them Abraham Laboriel, Poncho Sanchez, Airto Moreira, John “Dandy” Rodriguez, Bill Watrous and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. His acclaimed record Armando Mi Conga was named a Top 5 Latin Jazz Release of 2025 by The New York City Jazz Record and a Top 10 New Recording of 2025 by Cadence Magazine, ultimately winning the 2026 San Diego Music Award for Best Jazz Album. Building on that momentum, Flores recently returned to New York to record his highly anticipated 2026 album A Letter to Eddie Palmieri, featuring a monumental guest collaboration with jazz giant Paquito D’Rivera.
