Blaque Dynamite
Grammy-nominated drummer, producer and composer Blaque Dynamite brings together gospel, jazz, funk and hip-hop with explosive technique, deep groove and an adventurous sense of humor.
Born Mike Mitchell Jr. in Houston, he has worked with artists including Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Stanley Clarke, Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper and Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah. His bandleading and production work pushes contemporary Black music toward jazz fusion, beat culture and electronic experimentation.
