Moving Pictures: Do It. See It. Speak It.

Moving Pictures brings international dance cinema, live movement and conversation to Robson-Harrington House for a two-day series curated by Tara Pandeya. Four films explore how dance carries cultural memory, communicates beyond words and turns movement into cinematic expression.
Each screening is paired with a master artist whose practice connects with the film’s curatorial theme. A short live presentation introduces movements and ideas before the screening; a conversation afterward connects the film with the traditions and lived knowledge behind it. The format invites audiences to experience, watch and discuss dance across cultures and generations.
Saturday pairs Latcho Drom with flamenco artist Damien Alvarez and Singin’ in the Rain with ballet artist Wilhelmina Frankfurt, following an opening ceremony by Eddie Madril. Sunday pairs Kalpana with Indian classical dance artists Antonia Minnecola, Barbara Framm and Saraswatikalanilaya dancers, then Pina with Ibrahima Diouf and members of Diamano Coura Dance Company.
Admission is free. Reservations are required because seating is limited.
