100 Black Women of Accomplishment

Join us for a special evening to celebrate Black History Month and Women’s History Month with an engaging presentation by a local woman artist. Inspired by the tragic murder of George Floyd in 2020, Carol Jacobsen was compelled to dedicate the past four years to painting portraits of Black women whose stories have been overlooked in history. Each of the over 100 women Carol has painted is an accomplished individual who has overcome the dual challenges of race and gender to achieve their goals and make meaningful contributions to society.
