Acoustic Alchemy
Acoustic Alchemy brings more than 35 years of contemporary jazz and guitar-driven exploration to Yoshi’s Oakland. The band’s longevity reflects an open approach to style, allowing jazz, pop, reggae and global influences to meet without forcing the music into a single category.
The group’s EP The Empire of Lights ranges from the western shuffle of “8,000 Miles” and reggae-flavored “Alisio” to the upbeat “Back to Back” and laid-back “Other People.” The release begins a series of shorter projects planned to form a full album.
