Ludovico Einaudi: Solo Piano

Pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi performs a solo program at Davies Symphony Hall. His music is known for pursuing expressive intensity through spare, carefully shaped materials, bringing together classical training, American minimalism, and an intimate approach to melody and atmosphere.
Born in Turin, Einaudi studied at the conservatories of Turin and Milan, continued his work with Luciano Berio and Karlheinz Stockhausen, and composed for ballet, theater, film, orchestra, and ensemble before his solo recordings brought him international attention. Albums including Le Onde, I Giorni, Una Mattina, Divenire, and Seven Days Walking have carried his work across classical and popular audiences. This concert presents that musical language in its most direct form: Einaudi alone at the piano.
