After the Island: Ornament and Ceramic Practice in the Jamaican Diaspora

After the Island examines how Jamaican artists across the diaspora use ceramics and ornament to carry memory, identity and cultural history across borders. The exhibition brings together works that treat decoration not as an afterthought, but as a language shaped by migration, inheritance and place.
Through clay, pattern and material experimentation, the participating artists connect contemporary practice to the Caribbean while expanding ideas of home and belonging.
