Alameda High School Jazz Band

From just across the estuary, the Alameda High School (AHS) Jazz Band is a program of high caliber musicians, ages 14-18. Led by music director, Tyra Cable, they share a passion for creativity and improvisatory music expressed through the jazz idiom. Performing music from funk to samba to swing, venues all the way from Chicago to Oakland to New York, these high school students bring the very best to the band stand to every rehearsal and concert.
