Amjad Ali Khan Trio (Sarod Trilogy)
Sarod master Amjad Ali Khan performs with his sons and disciples, Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, in an evening of Indian classical music at the Carriage House Theatre. Their shimmering sarod melodies and rhythmic exchanges bring tradition and improvisation together in a deeply transporting program.
The trio represents seven generations of the Senia Bangash musical lineage. Amjad Ali Khan is one of India’s most celebrated classical musicians, while Amaan and Ayaan carry the family tradition forward through precise, lyrical playing and cross-cultural collaboration.
