Dark Tower Social
February 14 @ 6:00 PM PST

On Valentines Day join us for an evening of fine dining, music, and storytelling honoring Harlem’s Golden Age. Hosted at the Claremont Club and Spa, this exclusive event reimagines A’Lelia Walker’s legendary “Dark Tower” gatherings. Guests are welcomed by live jazz, exotic aromas, and opulent Art Deco decor blending 1920s elegance with African American influences to celebrate Black History Month and Valentine’s Day.
Renowned chefs Joseph L. Paire III and Richard Ingraham will curate a five-course menu, each dish paired with stories of Harlem Renaissance icons. Guests will also have the opportunity to admire art by Taylor Smalls, whose current body of work explores how water plays an integral role historically and presently in relation to Black people, and Black womxn specifically. Highlights include a live performance by musician Kev Choice, whose soulful artistry will set the tone for the evening and a toast to the era’s legacy of resilience and creativity. Guests dressed in vintage attire will be transported to a night of cultural brilliance, culinary mastery, and timeless celebration.
