Edgardo Cambón Presents “Gracias Bay Area” 40 Years Celebration

Percussionist, singer and bandleader Edgardo Cambón celebrates 40 years of music-making in the Bay Area with a grateful, rhythm-filled homecoming. Since arriving from Uruguay in 1986, he has become a vital presence in local salsa and Latin jazz, bringing together Afro-Cuban percussion, expressive vocals and the welcoming energy of a seasoned dance-band leader.
The concert looks back across four decades with Edgardo & Candela while opening a new chapter represented by the album For Export. Remixed and remastered favorites meet newly arranged material, highlighting the songs, grooves and community relationships that have sustained the band. With the dance floor open, the celebration is both a musical retrospective and a thank-you to the region that helped the work flourish.
